Liberty glass was a product that was created in the simple glasshouse in Jamestown, Virginia after the American Revolution and the colonies' freedom from British taxation. The Classic Liberti Cannister is a wonderful replica of pieces from that era and has the look of hand blown glass that might have come straight from the 18th century.
The bell shaped lid cascades in two segments and has a smooth rounded edge that overhangs the base, with an oval handle that sits comfortably in the hand. The vase shaped body is wider at the top at 7 inches, and tapers at the bottom, standing on a beautiful thick base in the shape of a flattened bun or onion. The cannister stands 18 inches in height, so it makes a great presentation on any table or shelf. Use it in your displays to draw customers to your giftware, glassware, and home goods departments.
