Our Assez Frame is one of those frames that seem to have been pulled out of someone's attic, held over for centuries and handed down through the generations, perhaps with a cameo picture within it of someone's long ago ancestor.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ The frame measures just over 6 1/2 inches square, and the viewing area is about 2 inches square, just big enough to hold a photograph of someone you love.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ The composition frame has the look of hand carved stone with all the details of a piece made in the 17th or 18th century by master sculptors or artisan crafters, and has been chipped and stained to complete the look.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ An interior border around the photo has a ruffle or gadroon detail.
The outer frame has four large acanthus leaf fleur de lys at the corners leading to a slightly concave shape at the four sides. Small flowers, scrolling vines, and other foliate forms complete the detail.
