Two oval shaped picture frames appear to be joined together with a diamond covered ribbon that curls at both ends in a downward facing flourish.
Dual oval frame such as these were at one time more commonly seen. They are meant to hold two portraits, usually a married couple or a young woman and her beau. But they can also accommodate sets of friends or even a beloved family pet. Most of the metal frame is encrusted with the shiny faux gemstones. The frames look elegant and inviting decorating the side tables of parlors and sitting rooms. One could also picture them in the more intimate setting of the bedroom, decorating a nightstand, vanity table or chest of drawers. The lining of the frame is lined with a black and white pattern of fleur de lis that is stylish enough to display even without a photograph covering it.
