Our La Terre frames have all the classical details you might find in antique pieces that have been carefully stored in the attic of a century old home, or something that holds a family portrait and has been handed down through generations.
These reproductions are carefully designed with the motifs and embellishments of pieces found among the palaces and aristocratic homes of the 17th and 18th centuries.
¥ A fine carved bead detail surrounds both the outer edge and the double molding inner edge of the frame.
¥ Stylized fleur de lys at the four corners lead to curvilinear scrolling forms and a central shell motif at the center of the sides, top, and bottom, with other foliate forms cascading out from them.
¥ A beautiful partial whitewash over the brown wood frame results in the look of an aged piece.
