It is believed that a stingray's colours are a reflection of the ocean floor where it hides from the other ocean predators and this creature made by hand is a reflection of the deepest of blue - an inky colour so deep that the very image of this creature gets a vibrant most unusual hue. A perfect means to highlight your console, or coffee table especially if an ocean theme is on your mind.
This glass blown figurine reflects the perfection with which glass objects that replicate real creatures need to be made - the proportion of the body and the tail, the tiny head and the lovely hues of blue on the body have been created by an expert pair of hands that know the craft well. The stingray inhabits the deep ocean floor and camouflages well, but for this gorgeous creature made in indigo blue there is little escaping the avid attention it will get from all. About 16 cm in width owing to the fins that flap as it over ahead, the length from the tip of its snout to the end of its tail is 14 cm. The tiny head, two tiny eyes and the delicate tail are little details that the craftsman has brought out with much perfection. A wonderful means to add a dose of bright colour in antique themed home in places that could do with some spot of interest. The fact that glass objects bring with them a certain unclutter feel will add to its attractiveness.
