Placemats such as these are just the right size to be sued at the center of the table, individual seating or at corner tables to add that little hint of newness, but when it comes to paper weave mats we are looking at a new concept in weaving which looks airy, open and very different from the typical rattan or cloth weave. The loose weave allows pliability to the material which is also strong enough to be used for years. The paper yarn has been given a white colour wash and the look it achieves is fresh and truly new .the paper yarn has been twisted to make it stronger and increase its tensile strength. The edges are neat and despite there being a certain natural unevenness to the look of the weave as a whole the piece looks nothing like the typical run of the mill placemats one sees so very often. A real change in look is what one can derive from this piece and of course its great usability.
