But the best thing about this vase is that it is also very beautiful, in an 'old world' sense. It has a Grecian design. And with its colour, it is as if someone has just recently unearthed it from the digs of Athens. First of all, it is painted in a shade cream shade, washed with pearly sheen in parts. There are rough striations on the neck and the body and scratches are found on the mouth revealing darker shades of grey and brown. That is what gives it an antiquated style. The mouth of the vase nearly has the same circumference as its base but it is not so bulky. It is not so sleek either. The most extraordinary feature in this very simple design is the decorative 'handles' on the sides of the vase's neck.
